Post Reloading Philippines Cards Online
Hi guys,

I am using this service to reload my Philippine cards online while I am away and also to reload Philippine friends' cards.

www.aryty.com

It is a bit hard to sign up if you do not have a US cellphone. I don't, so I had to email them and then they walked me through the process. Now it is activated.

Gone are the days when I had to ask Filipinos to reload for me there. Now I can reload online.

Speaking of cellular service there (GSM obviously), which is the best company to go with and how are people billed there? What are the data prices? Are BlackBerrys common?

The two main carriers are Smart and Globe. Smart seems more reliable and both are around the same price. I use Smart too. Most people use prepaid cards that they load up which you can get almost anywhere. Or they load them up at cashier counters almost anywhere from a seller's phone directly.

Texts are around 1 peso each, but calls cost 7 pesos per minute.
