We rescued them from imperial Japan, which did horrible things to them and other Asian nations. We give them hundreds of millions of dollars in aid per year. How do they thank us?

That's why I'm against the United States giving foreign aid to foreign countries around the world (including Israel and South Korea). Also, why do we have over 900 overseas military bases around the world?...Stop intervening in foreign conflicts and save money that way....

And what about the 400,000 or so Philipinos we slaughtered wholesale back in the 19th century during the Spanish American War? It was like a massive turkey shoot -- one of the most brutal military occupations in history. I'm surprised there hasn't been extreme blowback for that long before this. The preeminent American thinker of the time, William James, summed it up rather succinctly: "God damn the United States."

This has been going on since the country got its independence in the 1940ies- some 5-30 people-paid by some leftist organization to protest at the US Embassy. Yawn!
Right now, the anti-feeling is the Chinese one.
