These last few posts are excellent examples of Men, and many MRA"s, whose standards are so high that no single woman is enough.

Bitching about the RP - come on. You guys want the impossible. If you have lived in multiple countries, dated many women from different cultures and you STILL find that no woman is worth your while, and you are in your mid-30s or later Guess What?

You are just as bad as AW with infinitely rising expectations.

We have to live on Planet Earth and pick the best women from this planet not some imaginary land where the perfect woman exists.

America - not good enough.
PI - not good enough.
South America - not good enough.
Thailand - blah blah blah.

This is a very simple concept Winston seems not to understand, or is unwilling to understand. He has set the bar so low for himself that he seems to confuse dating women with paying a prostitute for sex. If the latter is his thing, fine, but this thread is misleading to say the least. A much better indication of his success with filipina women would have been to actually date and post pics of girls OUTSIDE the bar scene.

If there was one single salient point of criticism leveled at this site that I agree with this would have to be the one. I hope Winston will post some normal pics of normal Filipinas. I have seen some nice normal filipinas abroad but i'd like to see a good cross sample within the population of the Phillipines. I have nothing against the pay for play scene but Winston should really be clear on what direction he wants this site to head in.

If you look at the description above some of the pictures, I do say that they are NONbar girls or girls I met outside the bar scene in Angeles. Didn't you notice that? Not all the pictures in this thread are bar girls. Some are. Some aren't. Why is that hard for nuts like Swincor to understand? Swincor is highly INaccurate. Besides, I didn't say these girls were a cross representation of the Philippines, I said they were girls I met in Angeles, and obviously I'm taking the most attractive ones I met who were willing to have their picture taken.

I see plenty of hot girls passing by that are not in this collection too.

I do not urge people to be sex tourists here. I only present it as an option under the umbrella of "happier abroad". Not every guy is a sex tourist type. But many guys are happier abroad, as you are too. As I said on the home page, this site is about dating, social life and personal/psychological fulfillment overseas, and that's a broad area that includes sex tourism, romantic love, monogamy, friendships, self-esteem, etc. Sex tourism is just one option and lifestyle under that umbrella.

Don't you folks see that? Why is it hard to see the big picture?

FYI, I do plan to travel more. But right now it's so hot and humid that I wilt and tire easily and run out of breath. In that state, I can't even exercise or take a walk. I often stay home with the air conditioner on all day and night cause of that, and talking to you guys on here too. It's not easy staying out long when you tire easily and start losing breath as though the air is thin here. I kind of wilt in humid weather I guess. I'm not sure if it's hard to breathe properly here cause of the humidity and heat combined or because the air is really thinner here. So gimme a break please. Plus I'm busy with a lot of other things as well. Don't jump to conclusions based on your narrow view of everything. Consider the big picture.

There is a lot of truth in what you say- the Philippines is in deep shit. A person living here and relying on locals for intellectual stimulation is out of luck usually. But most women under 25 are decent looking in the USA for example? Huh? Maybe somewhere, but certainly not the USA where fat now rules. It might be fair to observe that you also seem bitter due to the fact that you are now living with the consequences of what you admit were really bad decisions.
10% of Girls in the Philippines are potential partner material? That sounds a bit high, and certainly very high
for the USA where I would say perhaps 1 in 100 would qualify. Your description of the low quality of education in the
Philippines also sounds like much of the USA. The quality of education I see when I am in the USA is really idiotic with many of the high school and college institutions. It seems like a country living on its laurels.
Arizona's Goldwater Institute recently tested a large sampling of graduating high school seniors with civics and government
questions from the exam given US citizenship applicants. About 3% could pass the sample test. US citizenship applicants
pass this test with a first time success rate of about 67%. About half of college freshmen cannot identity "the large country directly to the south of the USA". The list goes on and on... a nation of nimrods run by nimrods will be the new norm as we spend our way into oblivion. In other words, if you are looking for a high concentration of dumb-asses, one can just stay in
the USA and enjoy a great selection.
In CDO (Cagayan De Oro) I once went down to a local cafe where expats gather every Saturday morning. What a bunch of
degenerate idiots. Typically in the Philippines I have learned to avoid expats like the plague. Many are disillusioned and bitter
about about things that are the results of their own own choices.
On average, men who marry a foreign bride are somewhat above average income and education, but what those numbers would be for just those from the Philippines I have not read.
Generally, if you want someone who will play chess with you and discuss continental philosophers, most filipinas are certainly not a good choice, kind of like most women elsewhere. If one wants children, of course a good question is this: How large does emotional intelligence loom ? Is finding one's intellectual soul mate in a wife very likely anywhere? Will that same brainly girl
also have emotional intelligence? Will she make a good mother?
Obviously the criteria for all of this would depend on the individual.
So if the Philippines is not for some guys, where would they turn? Europe? Possibly some of the Central European countries?
Latin America? I think most men would be disappointed in Latin American women. Chile and Argentina are quite a bit above
the rest of South America in Socio-economic terms and I have met desirable and intelligent young women in both countries, though if you are a middle age guy looking for a younger wife, they are less open to that idea in either country.
I did meet a very talented musician in Santiago who is also an amazing vocalist. She is multi-lingual, frequently performs in other SA countries and Europe, and is an excellent conversationalist. Her mother is a bit of a shrew, and I see those same tendencies in Katya. Life with her might be quite interesting, but would home life be very tranquil? I have my doubts.
A lot of the questions posed in this thread are riddles with no master key, only individual personal keys, so translating personal experience to general advice for others is quite difficult.

Nate

There is truth in all this. But please look at the bigger picture and consider the variables. Like I said, different guys attract different types of people and experiences. Ladislav has made this point many times too. Different people also vibe differently too.

I've been told many times, even by Dianne, that I am very different from the other foreigners here, which is true. I'm unique anywhere I go in fact. But Angeles does attract the low loser types, and like Nate said, most expats here are kind of messed up and not worth knowing.

It is true about the lack of education and intellectualism in the vast majority of people here. But I vibe and have a connection with them that most don't have, that can't be described in words. It's not a mental connection of course, but more like a soul/comfort zone type of connection. Because of that, and because people here sense my calm tranquil vibe, I'm treated a lot better here than most are.

Despite all the pros and cons and obstacles described above about the PI, at the end of the time, I FEEL GOOD about myself here, and that's the bottom line. Sure I get annoyed by tons of incompetence and stupidity, as Mr S does, and we rant about it by cell phone text all the time, but each day and night, I FEEL GOOD about myself, like DiscoProJoe admitted in another thread here, and that's what's MOST IMPORTANT, at least to me. I'm sure Ladislav feels the same way.

Every place has different pros and cons, and things that will annoy you. That's all part of the package. Whether you like it or not overall depends on your priorities, values and personality.

So you shouldn't go too much by what others say.

But yeah I would say that overall, in terms of maximum pros with minimal cons, Europe is the ideal location. So I would suggest Mr. S try it out on his next vacation break from work.

PS - One more thing. Don't be too pessimistic about Filipinas. I haven't mentioned this yet, but Dianne and I never argue anymore. She's stopped being so controlling, and stopped checking my cell phone too. She is no longer angry and physical, but very calm and serene, and enjoys cooking and cleaning for me now. And she appreciates my good inner qualities even though I'm not rich. It's a HUGE improvement for sure. So, under the right conditions, people can change. I do see potential in her. You can even ask Ladislav about this. He has conversed with her in length when he visited me here in Angeles and he notices something "different" in her as well, compared to mainstream people here.

Everything, she was never a Gf just a casual fling that I ended up knocking up by accident. It's hard to go into details but she has serious mental and emotional issues and on top of that comes from an extremely poor family and social class, only had a Filipino grade 8 education (which is probably like grade 5 or 6 in the states). Just overall she is screwed up in the head and trying to use my kid as a weapon against me and for easy money. Others around her know she isn't that bright so they use her to have her use me. It's all pretty retarded. I'm fed up with women here for the most part and don't even go out much anymore. Can't stand them really to be honest.

I'm jumping through the legal hoops right now but it's a bitch. If it works out and I can gain custody great but if not I have to face the facts that I can't deal with her mother and if she has sole custody somehow (who knows what a judge will do considering the illogical thinking they have here) I'll just have to give up on her cause I can't deal with all the shit she puts me through and she is just dragging me down into her shitty reality. It's really frustrating when you have to deal with a different social class, culture and mentality that you have nothing in common with. Normally I would have just walked away and had nothing to do with her ever again but if I don't attempt rescuing my kid from her clutches she will turn into a whore or get raped or abused or something. She won't have a normal life if her mother is running the show.

Fathers have no rights in Philippines either just like in the states. So if you think it's easier having a kid overseas, it ain't.

I've actually never had a real GF here in PI. I always knew the women here were kinda fucked up and never got serious with any of them, even though I could easily do so if I chose. Now that this incident is rearing it's ugly head, I have absolutely no inclinations to be involved with a Filipina girl ever. I'll stay forever celibate if I have to than be long term with a Filipina woman! They are good for pump and dumps that's about it. Most can't even do simple household chores anymore, it's quite pathetic actually. And you thought American woman are lazy? Filipina woman are pretty lazy also. If you try walking somewhere they bitch and complain and want to ride a taxi or whatever. They don't generally want to put the effort into learning how to do something but would rather you do it for them. Most can't even cook basic foods. There are other things wrong with them also but I've already bitched enough about them and what else can I say that they just don't make good long-term GF's or wives. Trust me.

Don't you think though, that even if you do win custody through the courts with the help of a great lawyer, that the mother will simply take your daughter and run away? There is an inseparable bond between mother and child, and if it comes to it, they will do whatever it takes. Put yourself in her shoes, wouldn't you do the same? Then you will have gained nothing and paid a lot in legal fees.

Perhaps you should ask the educated Filipinos on PinoyExchange.com forums for advice and options about this?

I do make observations but I have NO complaints personally! Note my numerous compliments to my filipina GF who
I think I am lucky to have! Not only is she an absolute beauty, she is personable and charming and very appreciative of
anything that I do for her...she is always finding little ways to show kindness. I really cannot find any major fault with her.
There are really no problems with her family either. They are farmers, and have never asked me for anything, though I have
volunteered some help by times. It's true I dont have to deal with relatives on a daily basis as they live in Sulu, in fact in an
area that is considered dangerous, so I will go there rarely and then I go unannounced for short visits.
If one is looking for something good..and rare..well then..it will be rare! Who would have thought?
When I do return to South America, the Filipina GF will come with me...( it is possible with the right paperwork and finances)

And as far as filipinas living abroad, many of them are excellent in health care. They are not just nurses in hospitals, they are often among the BEST nurses you will experience. In addition, as immigrants, they are not gangbangers, but typically considered reliable employees. In my own experience, I use the services of a PHP code writer from in Cebu, who is also
quite capable and experienced in applications for security related biometrics. Of course the Philippines is a basket case...but there is still gold to be found as well.

And finally...much of the time..."We have met the enemy, and he is us!" applies...

Wow you must be truly blessed Nate. How is her intelligence? Does she provide intellectual conversation too? If so, in what way?

As to Filipinas abroad, if you ask them if they are happier in the US, they will not say "I am happier in America than in the Philippines". They will usually say "it's ok here" which could mean anything. I'm sure they like the money in the US but as to happiness and social life, that's a different matter.

In the US media they always show immigrants saying that they have a better life in America and more freedom and opportunity. But I've never heard them say that in real life. Feelings are usually mixed.

Jie is no doubt above average in intelligence. As her English skills have improved over time, she has become more capable for more advanced conversations. She quickly notices inconsistencies in logic within an argument. She learns quickly and has taken an increased interest in other areas of the world, especially since she realizes she will likely end up spending time somewhere other than the Philippines. She is not what I would call an "intellectual", but she does have common sense and good powers of observation. I have in the past met intellectual women who were quite interesting to talk with, and clearly though, they would have been a pain in the ass personally.

Alright, I see what you're saying here and I agree with most of it. It's just that most people focus on the bar girl pics part of it and that's what they remember because it's the more salacious aspect of living abroad. I should know after all I live in Thailand. Laughing

Girls in the Philippines are easy to chat with and hook up with but they become very clingy and annoying very quickly, especially once you sleep with them. They tend to want to move into a relationship right away and then try to control your life to see how much shit you'll put up with. If you are a dominant type you will have many arguments with your GF before she either submits to you or you break up.

I`ve seen this happen with my own friends that have filipinas, so I know its true. I don`t know what their problem is but they just can`t seem to back off, they don`t give men any space at all. They say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

One of my friends ended his relationship with his filipina very abruptly one day. He took all of her belongings and just dumped them on the curb in front of her apartment. I don`t blame him either, she just had to control every aspect of his life to be happy, whats fun about that. Of course she acted surprised and started crying but in the end it was her fault.
