Isn't this crazy b*tch typical of how American women behave nowadays? Classy...

Typical grumpy neighbors who always call the cops and file lawsuits on others for no reason at all.

I agree Americans are too pampered and reliant on air conditioning. I can't wait for the economy to crash so the sheeple who look down on "3rd world" peoples receive a rude awakening. I never use A/C even during the California summer. I can understand if you're old or seriously overweight and out of shape and can't function when it's 90+ degrees in your room and you need to cool down the air a little.

But many of my neighbors have their central air running all day in the summer months which means they're setting their climate control to the winter comfort zone of 68 or 70 degrees F.

These self-entitled pricks are not satisfied with a little relief on a blistering day, say 80 degrees on a 100 degree day. No, these people have no shame or ecological awareness though apparently deep pockets because they demand nothing less than fall temperatures in the middle of a heat wave.

Several years ago there was a heat wave in France which killed around a hundred elderly patients staying at hospitals. That was when the French government discovered portable air conditioners. In the US central air is the norm. I absolutely hate it. The inability to open up a window is what I hate most of the hospitals here.

America's love with air-conditioning is another example of the nation losing touch with reality. Everything is fake here, even the air. Maybe that's why people here hate to walk. If something is a block away they'll take their car.

As for that stupid lady, you can buy a Toyota Echo or Yaris and receive 35mpg while not needing a battery which further damages the environment. The Toyota Prius is not environmentally friendly, hybrids are possibly the most environmentally unfriendly cars on the road. A car doesn't waste a lot of gas sitting at idle and new cars/trucks with large engines can even shut down cylinders when acceleration is not demanded. Combustion engine cars run so clean now that if you go to a polluted city the air coming out of the tail pipe will be cleaner than the air coming in.

And there is no such thing as peak oil. There is some debate on "abiotic oil", whether or not the oil fields regenerate themselves. But it's clear that the oil shortage is a political ploy and not based on science as the continental US has more oil than it could possibly use in the next 50 years. The car industry has given millions jobs. If every car was a Prius or worse yet electric, there would be virtually no mechanics. The car service industry is huge. Switching to a Prius ensures the demise of America. #1 it kills jobs. #2 it kills demand for foreign oil, and the petrodollar is the only thing keeping the US economy going

Maybe I should be cheering on the demise of this once great slave-camp. These sheeple deserve everything that's coming to them.

All in all, that lady as well as the family with the baby can go f**k themselves.

Totally agree. To be fair, the heat in CA though tends to be arid and unlike the hot and humid summer weather in the Southeast or Midwest, which can be more challenging in some ways. At least in states like CA you can get by with just an evaporative cooler which is more efficient.

Also, isn't it quite ironic, how many of these same hypocrite Americans who jumped on Al Gore's "global warming" industry bandwagon, are unwilling to make any notworthy contributions themselves? They are unwilling to sacrifice any of the energy that they themselves consume. These idiots worry and complain about successful people who choose a large SUV to protect their family while on the road, yet they are too stupid to realize how much energy they are consuming by blasting the AC and their TV set non-stop, or with how much gas they waste with their own trivial pursits.

She probably eats twice as many calories per day as she needs while many other kids go hungry. And I myself am not a liberal; I do not buy into the whole "feed the world" mentality since I strongly believe the world should feed itself (ie rather than handouts the Third World needs to start growing and raising its own food). However, that is not an excuse for the wanton waste of food (and overeating = wasting food).
