I'm not following your logic on being racist.... You're asking a legit question. To be honest all I have is second hand information. When you say "Mixed" that means many things but in America that usually means you're Bi-Racial or Black/White. I don't think they would react to you any differently than they do other men of color, now worries.

Best thing I can suggest is learn some basic Portuguese as most of the women outside of the tourist areas don't speak English. You're access to Upper Class, Educated Women will be limited.

Not impossible, but limited. You need time to mingle and find these women, most Americans don't have enough money or vacation time to explore.
