Personally, yes, I do think that paying/receiving $$$ for nookie is a little extreme, but only because intercourse is an act that should, in theory, easily come for free.

I'm torn about prostitution laws, on one hand I feel for all the underage sex trafficing that's going on. On the other hand, I don't think it's anyone's business to tell me that I cannot sell/purchase sexual intercourse. Moreover, illegalizing prostitution sort of indirectly puts females in control of men's sexuality and I sense that many feminists support strict prostitution laws primarily for this very reason.

lavezzi wrote:I just wanted to get your opinions on something - Do you think women who sell their bodies are crazy for doing so? I'm not talking about women from poor countries like Thailand or the Philippines who are forced into it, I'm talking about for example women from Romania who by EU regulations are free to travel into countries like Ireland to work, except instead of working in McDonalds for €8 an hour, they choose to offer full services to random men for €100-€200 per hour. Keep in mind the punter I observed last week, who's probably fairly typical of many men who pay for sex:

I personally think they're crazy for doing it. The whole scenario just seems f***ed up to me; random men of all ages coming in and out of your room every day to have sex with you. It's also pretty dangerous health-wise and in terms of safety, seeing as oral sex without protection and operating out of a private location are standard procedures. The huge pay for short hours is obviously the sole reason so many women here are doing it, but I personally don't place much value in money which I don't need and I'm happy enough to survive on the bare minimum.

Do you think you'd do it if you were a woman? If any of the few women who frequent this forum see this thread please contribute also.
I was registered on a site called travelgirls but then realised it was an escort site after all, so I'm not on it anymore. But I did get to chat with a few girls who do this. I think being a travel escort is the most risky form of prostitution. They get ridiculous amounts of money though & gifts & also get to go on vacation 5-20+ times per year. Most of the women are bots but there's about 50 real girls on there doing this. They formed a private forum & they discuss the travel encounters openly. Some of the travel stories they posted were quite scary actually.
Most of them are western women, Europeans, South americans, asians & Latinas. They all have different reasons why they do it but it all comes down to money. I think it's a bit crazy too; that must be damaging having to be with so many people but I guess some are just mentally capable. They knew I was an ESL teacher & I did try to sway a few of them into this profession but I'm not big on preaching lol and they are all adults. To each her own I guess.

Let's see my opinion of prostitution...

Well it's one of the world's oldest professions and realistically I don't think is ever going to go away.
It operates on the dark side of society's supposedly squeaky clean perimeters and I think it actually fulfills a need in society.

I do think prostitution is debasing, demoralizing, and lowers one self esteem. To be in that sort of profession takes courage and a lot of guts, but there has to be a severe disconnect between the mind, body, and emotions to lay with that many people.
Plus prostitutes have always been with us in many forms from courtesans, sacred "virgins", and etc...I think we have a love/hate
relationships with it. It's a fascinating history, but often tragic and while a lot of people focus on the glamorous side of it like the money
making and perks.
There's far more tragedy I think in only giving your body as value, threat of disease, lasting shame, abuse and etc...

I do think prostitution serves a function for men as a form of relieve to be a much rawer version of themselves w/o commitment or strings.
And they can do all the sort of things with a prostitute they wouldn't necessarily do with someone their with.
As for women it can give them a sense of sexual fulfillment and freedom. Especially of the female is a nympho or enjoys what she does.
For the others it's more monetary or material. They can make quick cash in larger sums then working a straight gig otherwise and there are perks.

Personally I do think it's sort of like a last resort type of thing, but I know that's the only way some women can make the money they or their families need. So I don't want to judge them for that. The thing I hate about it is how women are either kidnapped or dragged into it.
There's a difference if you enter into it of your own free will, but to be forced it a whole different matter all together.

I wish it was made legal in the states at least, then some sort of accountability could be put towards it. Possibly better treatment of the subject matter and a nation dialogue on a topic that's completely ignored.

We must not look at goblin men,
We must not buy their fruits:
Who knows upon what soil they fed
Their hungry thirsty roots?"

Over the years I've read lots of different dating blogs, sites, and manosphere essays.

My impression is that culturally, guys in North America do not tolerate prostitution. They will instead invest lots and lots of effort into learning "game" and weird "tricks" to try to charm girls, but the moment you mention paying for an escort, you're a pariah and it's a taboo issue.

Roosh V, Roissy, Eric von Markovik, all the American bloggers like The Spearhead, never ever mention prostitution, and are all about "wooing" or "gaming" regular women. God forbid the subject ever gets brought up.

On the other hand in other countries (especially Europe / Australia) prostitution is common, legal, and widespread. Investing a lot of effort into "game" is not something that a lot of Europeans will do, it's unnecessary and unnatural.
