Hey 007, I know a former Karate champion, dating a skank like your photo there. And yes, this fella is still in excellent shape, despite the grey hairs.

When I'd met his AW gf, I was under the impression that perhaps she was this really bright woman with a heart of gold. Au contraire, she was a complete dolt and annoyed the hell out of anyone around her.

Am I the only one who has a problem with the term Beta? The guy who has the girls in the photo appears good-looking, cool and fashionable, amusing. Is THAT all that is left of manhood? He looks LEAST likely to save a girl's life in a crisis (for example). Does Alpha just mean a guy who is Alpha in a bar, or in some arty environment? Have the minstrels (sorry DJ) and jesters (oops) now crowded out the blacksmiths, farmers, warriors, race car drivers, business owners?

It's ironic but fitting that those poster's extremely provincial and limited views of reality in the world seem to hold water to some.

No you are not the only one who has a problem with that word and i don't use it to describe any man.We hear enough put downs from women as it is.That is the problem with men they would rather sit back a judge how beta or weak a man is instead of helping him be better.Instead we just compete with each other.We men in America are our own worst enemies a lot of times.

I think so as well.

Women always aim for men who are above their league. That is a given regardless of cultural differences or the extent of feminism influence. But apparently given the liberty of choices American women face they shoot for guys way, way, way over their leagues more than they are supposed to.

So you get to be a super athlete slash entrepreneur slash class valedictorian slash part time swimsuit model in an Anglophone society. You managed against all odds reached the 0.1% top of the male population, as the Alpha of the pack...and what you get in return? Dumb girls in flip flops.

Judging by this photo, in America, if you are a woman and no matter how fat and ugly you are, you can still get a handsome guy.
But if you are a man, you have to be good looking to get women. You'll get nothing if you are average or below average. Am I right?
