Misunderstanding

I have been in Shanghai for about 5 days now and things are okay. Only an annoying issue keep popping up. That is me being wrongly understood by the female I came to see and her friend. She says translating makes her tired so her friend does the translation. Now her friend can speak just about enough English for me to understand, however she frequently incorrectly understands what's I say. For example Also she thought I was upset because a cash machine couldn't read my Santander card so she begins to speak to me with a serious face. Lol I f***ing panicked because she looked like she was going to kill me. Also when I show no interest in the tourist stuff they think I am unhappy. I don't want to fake showing interest in things but it seems that's what I will have to do. Also I am kinda unimpressed by how westernised this place is. Its like a shiny box with a hollowed centre. I don't find that interesting. Everything is so freaking commercialised. I am more into the more Chinese setting. I will try to get them to come with me to hangzhou or whatever its called during the weekend.

I didn't like Shanghai much either. It has no soul.

Definitely not the same as central China or the South.

The Cantonese make Guangzhou interesting, plus it has way more people than Shanghai and extreme weather to make things more crazy.

Central China is also good due to the lack of foreigners, which makes it really feel as if you're a pioneer going there.
