I remember hearing about a rich gentleman, knowing that his relationship was on the rocks, moved to Canada to soften the blow of divorce. What do you think of taking an American woman abroad to where the laws are different?

Its not a bad idea. However, you might need to get immigration status in the country your moving to before you can take advantage of the divorce laws. I know a Canadian guy that got married in Mexico but I'm not sure if he could get divorced there to.

Interesting. I am looking abroad for both wife and and country, but if I happen to find a good woman here, then I might just decide to take her with anyways.

LMAO!!!

Sorry brother, but that made me bust out laughing... Good luck with that one!

No offense intended, of course...

I'd have to say of all the places in the US, assuming there was even the slightest remote chance of finding some semblance of a "good" woman ANYWHERE in this abortion of a society, Michigan would be the absolute LAST place they'd be.

Don't do it, period. Once you move abroad and find a good foreign woman you will end up becoming dissatisfied. My 54 year old British friend in Beijing took his 32 year old British wife (both are white) to China, and now he tells me he regrets it and might as well be single and get a Chinese woman (can also be bitchy, but overall superior). However he's trapped as they have a 5 year old son.
