3 Famous People I'd Like To Have Dinner With

Got to give cred to my mom for this - kind of a fun game:
If you could invite any 3 famous people to dinner, who would they be?
Ground rules:
--- They can't be personal friends or family
--- They can't be HA'ers
--- They have to be living
--- No deities (so Jesus is out if you're a Christian Believer)
--- No women
My 3 picks:
Richard Branson (founder of Virgin records, Virgin Airlines, etc.)
Heinrich Harrer (author and protagonist of "Seven Years In Tibet")
Jackie Chan (martial arts master and movie star)

Still living makes it kind of tough -- little but pygmies out there now, at least among public figures (and famous is one of your criteria). And I guess you have to take chemistry into account, i.e., whether they'd have anything to say to each other. That in mind, I'll go for Tom Wolfe, Noam Chomsky and Vladimir Putin. Should get a bit of conversation going on the old USA.
Or a sports talk dinner. Athletes and coaches are usually godawful in interviews, so I'll take sports writers. You'd have to take my word that these guys are semi-famous: Tom Boswell, Tony Kornheiser, Pat Forde. All are pretty candid.
I've actually had dinner with some of the people I used to read and admire greatly. Inevitably a disappointing experience.

Maybe you should consider who would actually offer you the most practical help for the rest of your life instead of just whoever you admire most. I'm a big fan of Steve Jobs. But if he were still alive today, I wouldn't have much interest in having a meal with him. Cus I know enough about him to realize that he would just probably be a prick and offer me absolutely nothing of value in the way of conversation, ideas for life, or anything else.

Maybe the Dalai Lama. Can't think of anyone else that's alive.
I would have liked to speak to Nostradamus, Mother Teresa, and my Great Great Great Grandfather from Bengal to find out how & why he got to the Caribbean in 1805 & who he was, it's a mystery really.

No, he never did such a thing. He was born in Jamaica, but grew up and represented Canada in the 1984 and 1988 Olympic games.
