Ice Bucket Challenge: Charity success story or damaging fad?
Davidson also points out the paradoxical nature of the challenge itself — specifically, the fact that participants can avoid donating money by dumping water on their head:
"Everyone you’ve ever seen dump water on themselves, per the rules, is not asked to donate. They may choose to, but the viral nature of this fad appears centred around an aversion to giving to money. 'Want to help fight this disease? No? Well, then you better dump some cold water on your head.' The challenge even seems to be suggesting that being cold, wet, and uncomfortable is preferable to fighting ALS."

This is just another indication that the blue pill, iPhone-loving, "Be like pop culture cool people," ethic is alive and well. There is also a bit of attention whore ethic in this also. Yes, men can be attention whores too.
I just saw that GW Bush did the challenge also, reason enough to look down one's nose at the practice.
As I have said before folks, "Stick a fork in America, it is done."

I've always thought it would be funny to challenge somebody to a cum bucket challenge.
