Adama.
Are you trying to tell me that there's still a possibility that I personally could find someone in the United States of America who won't divorce me? With all my studying on divorce rates, I am sort of uneasy. And especially as, if I were to get divorced, it would be against my beliefs to go and marry someone else.
More than likely, if I got divorced, I'd probably go join a group of street preachers and publicly report my ex wife as an adulteress who made me an adulterer, and who is headed straight to eternal fire.
I really would like to get married, and I was even getting my hopes up in Florida, especially given Florida's close proximity to a number of Latin countries, especially such as Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, and such, and the fact that Florida has a significant foreign population that includes both Cubans and Mexicans. And from that world map on divorce rates, it seems that Mexico has a much lower rate of divorce than both the USA and Canada. Even lower still on the divorce rates are, according to the map, places like Guatemala, Colombia, and Chile.
In fact, once when I went to Fort Myers Beach, I even met a guy who was from Cuba!
That depends. Do you think God is all-powerful? If He is all powerful, and if you are an unbegotten son of God, He should be looking out for you anywhere in the world. Doesnt He provide food for you to eat? Does He require that you go to IndoChina personally for food? Does God make you go to Cuba to get a drink of water? Or for a job? And if He is providing for all those things for you here, what makes you think He also would not provide a wife for you here also?
Do you believe that believers are protected by God? I do. Do you think He is working in the lives of believers? I do.
There was one story which I will probably boggle, but it involved 7,000 men who had not bowed their knees to a false god named Ba'al. Those were the ones that God wanted to fight at Gideon, IIRC. Instead of those 7,000, he reduced the number to just 300 men who would fight against an entire army? Why? Because it is God who is really doing the work. God won the battle against many thousands with just 300 men. So it is not truly us who are doing things. It is God.
He promised that the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God. He mentions that at least two or three times in proverbs.
Also keep in mind that it isnt all roses in foreign countries. I have been in foreign countries and I will tell you, the goodness of a woman is individual. It isnt national, regional or by any other location. I have met plenty of foreign women in foreign countries who were chop busters, mean and petty. You need a submissive woman who obeys, not necessarily a foreign woman. A sl*t will not obey because it will interfere with her doing what she wants, which is to have sex with lots of men behind your back.
Also, read carefully. Adultery for a man is when he has sex with another man's wife. For a woman, it is when she is married and gives herself to another man (or woman). It is not adultery for a man to have sex with another woman. That is fornication. Now most people will have you believe that a married man having sex with an unmarried woman is adultery. It is not. It is fornication. Adultery is a sin worthy of death. The punishment for fornication is not typically death. A slight difference.
The Bible also says if the wife is a non believer and she leaves, that we are not in bondage to her, but that God calls us to peace.
Basically I don't think it is adultery for the man. That's why the Bible says when a man puts his wife away, he causes her to commit adultery (along with the man who marries her). It doesnt say that man himself is committing adultery by divorcing his wife. Men are not bound by that restriction. Women are. (Divorce is always wrong, and men shouldnt divorce their wives, but if they do, the penalty for men and women is different. There is no restriction against the man marrying other women. There is a warning against the women doing it though, because women are supposed to only belong to one man their entire lives, whereas there isnt a restriction for men to only have one woman. He can technically have more than one, but he should never divorce any.)
