Another reason to leave America; Americans are totally unforgiving. You make a mistake, have a bad day, a conflict arises, or something and then try to make amends and make things right with whoever you hurt, and you'll quickly learn that the damage is permanent and that you will never be forgiven. In America, "sorry" is even a slang/vulgar word! Also in America, even best friends easily become bitter enemies when something bad happens or a conflict arises between the two.

In most other cultures, forgiveness is rampant. But in American culture, there is no such thing as forgiveness.
