I found this interesting. Its kind of long, but it discusses how the Trotskyist anti-marriage policies which were enacted in the early days of the Soviet Union mirror in many respects what is happening now in the West. Due to the instability and decay it was causing, Stalin forcibly reversed this trend.

Whatever they tried to do, they would not be able to stop the yearnings of the people there to have sex all the time in the bushes, in doorways, in parks, in hedgerows, in hay stacks in enormous amounts and with great frequency. The country was always sex-crazed. Now as far as building a family and all, well, that is another story.My grandma had a string of lovers and two kids by them. That was how it was even in those times.

Now, of course, the Muslim and Jewish populations as well as heavily Catholic Baltics and W.Ukraine-that was different. These were parochial but the rest of the country was always wild when it came to sex. When communism arrived,it made it even more sexy because it abolished pornography, and made life very boring in all other respects so people turned to love and sex for entertainment.
