Do you think this is okay or is this a bad idea?

A guy has a girlfriend or a wife or female partner. He buys jewelry but has the condition that it's His Jewelry he bought for "His Girl" so her, being his girlfriend or one of his girlfriends, can wear the jewelry but she does not own the jewelry or have any ownership in the jewelry unless he specifically gave it to her as a gift.
Can a guy do that and his girlfriend accept it? Or would most girls be offended?
I'm not talking about a cheap jewelry item but a designer brand fashion jewelry for girls. Something that is expensive enough that I will keep ownership but let a girl I'm with wear it, so it is my women's jewelry item that a female partner can borrow but doesn't own.
The worst thing a guy can do is give his female partner ownership of expensive items because then if she leaves then she can take them with her. Designer clothes are one thing since her since might not be a future partner's size but expensive or designer jewelry is another thing. She can take clothing but not jewelry unless it was a gift.
Agree or disagree?
