Or at the very least, do you think Russia open its borders to the EU in 2021?

It depends on those countries and their citizens, their rules, their medical assistance they provide to patients...
The situation is not the same everywhere.

In general I think Covid-19 will NOT end soon, but the number of infected people will decline to a much smaller number compared to now because more and more people receive their vaccination. Covid-19 will also decline as more and more people were infected but recovered and are now protected with anti-bodies.

Here in Japan vaccination is still preliminary and open only to medical staff und caretakers using Pfizer, however the number of infections is nevertheless strongly declining without any vaccine used so far.

Today in Japan out of approx. 60.000 designated hospital beds provided only 15.000 patients are now counted to be infected and there are 4 beds for 1 patient, down from 135 % to 25 %.

So far out of 126 million people, Japan recorded 405,271 infections and 7779 deaths.

We never had any real lockdown domestically, no restrictions at all - only international travel is restricted.

Covid-19 vaccination open to the public in Japan will start around second week in April.

If I had to get a vaccine then I would only want the Russian vaccine.
