buy cheap land in texas or those other cheaper states,save up to buy an acre of land and build a ADOBE or cob house?

youll be working and not spending on rent.even in elpaso where rent is only 500 sometimes that gives you more than 5000 dollars for trips every year to find your wife and bring her to the usa,and then retire overseas when youve become established.

no rush or stress to escape in an economy against you.

homeownership is freedom.build two nice adobe houses and get paid for one of them.by renting it out.

You could build a small spanish mission house and make it elegant.

adobe and cob are some of the best building materials out there.learn to build yourself and it wont cost you more than 200 dollrs for a sizable house.

many houses in the southwest are built from adobe already.

this is some of the few advice that can actually help people.

It's a good idea but
1) You also have to install your own electricity, plumbing, and internet connections.
2) You still have to pay land tax to whatever local authorities.
3) Texas is really hot and has water shortage problems.
4) You must have a sturdy car to travel to the nearest city or town and Texas is big as hell. You still have to pay for Gas, insurance, repairs for your car.
5) You must get your adobe houses registered by the town to get mail and garbage service, otherwise you have to get a P.O Box number and travel to the nearest post office to get your mail and garbage disposal will be up to you.
6) Possible problem with Tenants, your still responsible for your tenants. You still have the interview them, make sure they pay rent, evict them, take care of them, etc.
