On the way out, this thin young 20-something walks toward me as I walk the way I'm going on the sidewalk. The girl was wearing a red polo that looked like it was some kind of retail establishment.
She constantly looks right at me and smiles, like she's flirting, not like a 'Hi, safe middle aged guy who looks like my dad." She looked a bit like Rachel McAdams in the Notebook, but maybe not quite as pretty... Not really my type since Rachel McAdams is one of those women I can see some men might find attractive but her looks don't suit me. So no temptation really for attraction.
So I go home and tell my wife this, hoping to trigger a bit of hypergamistic instinct.
That's all I'm going to get out of something like this... if that, and maybe a lame Happier abroad thread. Too little happened though, and she thought I was just being full of myself, unlike that time a fat woman on the early side of middle aged told me that I was a very attractive man. I had asked my wife if I looked hot in a t-shirt and jeans. I remembered a girl in high school saying she could find a man who'd been working on a car in jeans and a t-shirt really hot. I told her that. I used to get a lot more eye and interest from girls when I was young, especially in Indonesia.
I rarely wear just a white t-shirt. It's wearing underwear, actually, but that's how I ended up after working on the car yesterday. I wonder if certain outfits like that trigger something in certain specific women. I remember an old 'Married with Children' episode where the boy wears this ridiculous outfit from the 1500's and the girls suddenly go crazy for him. There are probably women who suddenly get interested in a man dressed in fatigues, military dress uniform, jeans and a t-shirt, a suit, etc. A different out fit might interest a different girl. Women pull this stuff on men by dressing up nice and wearing make up, but the rare man might go gaga for the Hippie chick look.
