This YouTuber explains why he gave up his 150k a year job and left America:
His reasons for leaving the US:
1) the cost of living is outrageous
2) very high health care costs even with good insurance
3) lack of decent education options for his children: public schools suck and private schools are too expensive
4) a better work/life balance outside of the US
5) divisive politics
6) an unsafe environment: a high likelihood of becoming a victim of a violent crime
7) better opportunities outside of the US

The new American dream is to leave America... while preserving US citizenship, working for an American company remotely, and earning US dollars, which stretch way longer in those those third world shit holes. None of these f***ing losers and social rejects will ever attempt to live and work the way the locals do. They will be running and screaming all the way to the airport if they lived a single day as a poor Filipino street vendor or a Russian factory worker. Bunch of sad pathetic posers. Useless, lazy, attention seeking scum.

Well said.
I will say though, being an expat myself who became a dual citizen of a latin american country, that the opportunities exist for brick and mortar entrepreneurship unlike in the USA. The USA used to have all sorts of mom & pop shops. Think small bookstores specializing in books for black people, and things like that. Little fish markets, hardware stores, the local butcher. Now it's pretty much walmart (ironically employing those poor old people who used to have their own stores) and a handfull of other big box stores. Latin America (at least most places in South America) is dominated by the mom & pops still. Not sure how they've been able to maintain that culture, but you can go to a small town and find 5-6 Mom & Pop hardware stores in a 2-kilometer radius.
Also, as an expat, you have an advantage as most of the locals are pretty disorganized and have poor customer service. You can really dominate the competition, but yeah, I don't think very many youtubers are going to want to do anything brick and mortar. If they can't generate money behind a keyboard or from grifting, then they'd probably rather pull out their own teeth with a pair of pliers.

The United States is a failing nation that's descending into a cesspool of ruin.

Yeah well it has a lot further to fall than most places.
