Airport Business Lounges - Has anyone used them?

Post by Voyager1 »

I have a flight option where there's about a 10 hour layover. It's not really worth it to leave the airport and get a hotel. They've closed all those airport pod capsules and hotels due to Covid.

I was thinking that a business lounge might be a good option. I've used them a few times before. Once in Moscow I had an overnight layover they let me camp out all night in a business lounge. I think it was about $100. It was worth it because to get a taxi to a hotel, etc.

The problem is though I am seeing that most business lounges only let you stay 3-4 hours. Do they kick you out when you reach the maximum?

And I see some notices that no hot food will be served due to Covid. Is this just their way of getting out of it?

Should I just go to a good airport restaurant and slowly nurse several beers?

I don't think I ever flew on business class but I came close once. I can't remember but I think I was on a business class once on a short flight.

You might have been given a bump or an upgrade.

I've flown business class but never paid for it. I don't think it's necessarily worth it.

No, I am not lucky enough to get free business class or an upgrade.

I would never ever willingly put myself in one of those overnight in the airport situations ever again! Never!
Unless...only one exception...the airport had one of those pod hotels.
Business lounges suck. So does everywhere else in an airport.
