Great movies and documentaries on ghosts!

Post by jamesbond »

Here are some great movies and documentaries on ghosts. First of all, the movie "The Entity" is based on a true story about a woman who is attacted physically and sexually by a ghost. There are many eye witnesses to what happened to this woman. On the dvd there is a documentary with one of the parapsychologists who witnessed some of the bizzare happenings. You can buy the movie on Amazon or ebay cheaply. You can check out a youtube clip of the movie here;

You can buy the movie at Amazon here

Another great film is a documentary on ghosts of another bizzare ghostly event that was seen on the Sci-Fi channel a few years ago known as the San Pedro Haunting. Again there were many people present who witnessed the bizzare happenings in the house another must see film for anyone interested in the paranormal. Here is the youtube clip for the documentary "an unknown encounter."

Did you ever see that one back in the early 80's narrated by Rod Sterling called "Encounter With The Unknown"? It contained four stories in Twilight Zone format and was very scary as hell. Kept me up all night for several days in a stage of fright.

I don't know if you can buy it, but you can read about the movie and its contents on imdb.com. Just keyword "Encounter with the unknown" in its search box.

A more recent and thinking movie is "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" which takes place in a court room.

I did see the Exorcism of Emily Rose. It was pretty scary and interesting. I do like movies and documentaries on ghosts and the paranormal, now I need to find some paranormal groups to join, I know there are some on Meetup.com.

Hey, I heard this one was really scary too, some say among the scariest, and all done without special effects too. They don't make them like they used to.

Oh by the way, I see that you can watch the whole film on YouTube now, but in parts. Here is part one:

By the way, you know that documentary/movie I told you about, Encounter with the Unknown, which chilled the crap out of me when I was a kid and kept me awake for many nights?

Well someone uploaded it on YouTube too. You can watch the whole thing, but in 10 minute parts though, at this link:

http://youtube.com/results?search_query ... arch_type=

It's narrated by Rod Sterling, creator of the Twilight Zone series. At first, it shows how this witch casts a spell on these guys who let her son die. They each die slowly. And the eyes of the witch as she's casting her spell horrified me and kept me up at night. Then it shows this bottomless dark hole that no one comes back from, not even the dogs do. Finally, there's this ghost girl that keeps hitching rides. The incidental music and spooky look on the faces and eyes are what chilled me and spooked me out. It's done in a way that's not done anymore.

The scariest movies I have ever seen were, The Exorcist, Halloween, Hell Night and the Entity. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the remake of it in 2003 were both good scary movies. Most horror movies today are stupid and not scary. Although a new horror movie called The Mist came out recently and I will rent it sometime and see what it's like. It's based on a Stephen King novel. The original Night of the living dead was also a good movie.
