CDC: 94% of Covid-19 deaths had underlying medical conditions

Since the start of the pandemic, older individuals and those with underlying conditions were considered the most vulnerable to this deadly virus and likely to have the most severe outcomes. This recently released CDC data reinforces that information.

The following are the top underlying medical conditions linked with COVID-19 deaths.

* Influenza and pneumonia

* Respiratory failure

* Hypertensive disease

* Diabetes

* Vascular and unspecified dementia

* Cardiac Arrest

* Heart failure

* Renal failure

* Intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events

* Other medical conditions

94% of Americans who died from COVID-19 had contributing conditions: CDC

https://nypost.com/2020/08/31/94-of-ame ... onditions/

Ninety-four percent of Americans who died from COVID-19 had other “types of health conditions and contributing causes” in addition to the virus, according to a new CDC report.

Using provisional data on coronavirus-related deaths from the week ending Feb. 1 through Aug. 22, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concluded last week that “for 6 percent of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned.”

“For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death,” the report said.

Completely ignored by most of the media because it didn't fit the narrative. Be interesting to see how the narrative changes in nine days.

There's another clip of Fox News, but I haven't posted it because there is extraneous commentary from a YT content creator. In that Fox News clip, it is stated that many people who die in one state aren't officially diagnosed with COVID, but since they die with COVID-like symptoms, their deaths are marked down as COVID.

This is true, we have the same observation in South Korea and Japan.

Most people who died after being infected with Covid-19 were either very old 80+, even 90+ or had otherwise serious medical issues BEFORE they were infected with the corona-virus.

If a 90+ old person dies, is this now because of old age, or because of already known medical issues like diabetes, heart problems etc. or is it because recently being infected with the Covid-19 virus?

Many people recover easily, some of them however need medical attention because they develop other life-threatening diseases like pneumonia, but they recover too. It might take however several weeks...

In Japan (and South Korea too) we all have national health insurance and also old age care insurance, it does not matter who you are and how old you are, medical care is very good, very advanced and you need not to be worried about medical bills.

However still a small group, in South Korea and Japan of approx. 2 percent of infected patients will die.

Generally said, comparing deaths statistics of 2018, 2019, 2020 month per month, there is no difference detectable.

In Japan about 1.370.000 people die every year, but so far only 1.726 of those deaths are confirmed to be directly related to the Corona-Virus.

Yes, if people have access to good medical care AND and if there is nothing to worry about medical bills for them, the number of covid-19 deaths in those countries is quite small.

If people keep general discipine with masks, hygiene, desinfection etc. they even can help to keep the number of infected people low.

However in many countries good medical care is not available - or only few people are able to pay for it, the number of deaths is clearly increasing.

But this is true also with other illnesses... cancer, heart problems etc. etc.

Pay cash or die early' - this sentence is well-known for example in Philippines and many other poor countries.
