Isolation Protocols

The isolation of the whole entire world, especially of those who are NOT sick, is not the usual protocol for infectious diseases to my knowledge.

It is the person or persons who are sick who are usually isolated, so that they don't infect other people. That's the usual protocol, as far as I know.

I don't think that everyone should be treated as infectious to disrupt the lives of billions. Why wasn't that the case for all other infectious illnesses for the past century?

And for those who have not seen the movie Inferno, with Tom Hanks, there are interesting parallels for those who are able to recognize them.
