Cheap car rental in Europe??

Hello
I was planning to spend a few months in Europe this summer so I thought car rental is the best solution as
car gives me mobility/flexibilty,
Found a one place where cars cheap 18Euro per day for VW Golf 30+ days

but the problem is im limited to drive only that country, other places in europe i looked at are much more expensive.
Any car rentals that you can recommend that are cheap and allow you to drive anywhere?
BTW would they find out if i take car outside the country?
