Brilliant. Yes, the death cult of mandatory positivity certainly is a valuable tool in the hands of criminal elites in that it gets their victims to navel-gaze and blame themselves instead of taking practical steps to defend themselves. When the next person says to me that anything that happens to you is a reflection of your own mental state, I have a good mind to beat the shit out of them and explain that logically it must have been their own fault for putting out negative thoughts and if they changed their outlook their injuries would no-doubt just magically heal.

Of course, the cult of Pollyannaism is contradictory in its own terms. For example, say you believe that anyone can easily get a job. Positive, right? But then as a corollary you must believe that millions of people around the world are useless wasters, lazy or whatever because they don't have jobs. Since a lot of these people are talented, intelligent and hard working when they get the chance, you must further believe that they have horrific disorders outbalancing their positive qualities. And you would have to believe that lots of people were waking up in the morning all over the world and suddenly, and for no apparent reason, choosing to acquire these horrific character disorders. Hence you must be highly negative and depressive.
