Good info.

tasty? dandelions are terribly bitter. But the benefits are worth the bad taste especially since the magpies and their c devil dogs can't poison all the dandelions.

I never ate any dandelions but I did start a farm of them in my front yard. The neighbors complained but I can tell them to F*** themselves (translation dandelions are good for your health as a part of a well balanced diet). Dandelions Forever!

For dandelion greens, the secret to make them edible tasting is boil them twice, not just once. Still they're not "the best" but they're edible and everywhere. Also the roots can be dried and it can make somewhat of a coffee substitute, though I never tried it. I did however get the flowers and make a syrup that's actually quite popular in Poland. http://milk-and-pumpkin.blogspot.com/20 ... syrup.html I used a different recipe by a little, though. Basically the end result tastes very much like honey, if you've ever tried those lozenge candies with honey in the center it tastes almost the exact same.

But yeah, whatever. Get some roundup. Kill the food and go spend $5 at Walmart on some salad.

Also, a better green imo that grows abundantly in Northern USA that like dandelion is an introduced species is Garlic Mustard. It tastes like spicy spinach, and has supposedly the highest nutritional value of any green. It's now "invasive" and the US government is trying to introduce some weevil to kill it. Very smart idea, obviously.
