Anyone watch it? The thing I got out of it is:

- don't be pressured into drinking and don't pressure anyone to drink
- meet friends in places where alcohol is not served
- total abstinence is not the only option if you can drink in moderation

For me personally I choose not to drink anything stronger than beer or wine as I find strong alcohol can and does cause problems including mixed drinks.

The Bible does not forbid drinking alcohol as many falsely believe and teach.

Here are some Scriptures:

Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

This verse doesn't say not to drink at all, it just says don't be drunk wherein is excess.

1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

The Apostle Paul is not forbidding to drink wine, in fact he's encouraging it for medicinal purposes. I think there's a lot of truth to that. Wine is God's creation. It's the most natural drink on earth.

My late grandfather drank unbelievable amounts but made it to 91.

I've not seen this documentary but it looks like he's being made to feel shamed for something he enjoys.
