Oatmeal is rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. Also, it helps reduce cholesterol in your body and lowers blood pressure.

Seems oatmeal CAN be good for you, but it's got to be prepared traditionally (I believe it was pre-soaked for an hour or two). This seems to reduce the physic acid that blocks the good stuff from being available. Weston A. Price did some research about this & it seems to be part of why the Scots had such strong bones & healthy teeth.
