Should childhood diseases go untreated?

The goal would be reduce mutation accumulation due to people who in the normal course of events would have died as children surviving to breeding age. If things keep on the way they are going, everyone is going to be a sickly mutant. This will result in the collapse of the system keeping them alive, perhaps resulting in the extinction of a large chunk of humanity.
