Wow! Women in the 1970s looked so wholesome, natural, down-to-earth and much easier to connect with!

Check out these images of American women in the 70's from some of my favorite TV shows. How come they are able to look so good without makeup? Their beauty looks so much more natural. And they look wholesome, soulful and tender too. Totally different from AW today.
Notice that they did not look paranoid and uptight like AW today. Their body language looked more relaxed and friendly, more approachable. Even though they were not submissive and believed in equal rights and women's lib, they still looked feminine, not bitchy or masculine. Watch TV shows from the 70's, and you'll see what I mean.
For example, the girls in Charlie's Angels believed in equality and women's lib and said so openly in the show. But they were never bitches. They still acted sweet, feminine, and classy, even if they were smart asses. Same with Jamie Sommers in the Bionic Woman.
What's amazing is that back then, an AW could be beautiful, tall, sexy, and look like a model, yet be sweet, kind, good-natured, innocent and wholesome-looking at the same time, without being a bitch. But today, an AW cannot be hot without being a bitch. Man. It was like a different world back then. What happened?!
Here are some images of these women from the 70's to show you what I mean.
Charlie's Angels
Jamie Sommers (Lindsay Wagner) from The Bionic Woman
Here is the intro to the Bionic Woman series. Notice in the scene when Jamie Sommers breaks the tennis ball in her hand, that her facial expression looks sweet, feminine, genuine and expressive, like she's truly awed. The music theme is also very sentimental.
Andrea from the Star Trek episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of?
Erin Gray from "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century".

Check out this clip from "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" made in 1972. In it the blonde girl Clare looks and sounds so pure and wholesome. Especially with her cultured British accent too. lol. Wow. This is the kind of blonde girl I've dreamed of since 1979. You can tell in this clip that women looked a lot more wholesome in the early 70's. Doesn't Clare enchant you? lol. And aren't wholesome blonde girls with British accents so angelic and perfect? lol

Are any of you Doctor Who fans here? Check out Romana 1 and 2 from the late 1970's with Tom Baker, the 4th Doctor Who. Both Romanas look so gorgeous, elegant and feminine. The first Romana looked so damn sexy. Damn. I used to jack off to her all the time. Her face and bosom were such a killer! lol. This just goes to show that in the 70's, Western women could be beautiful without being bitches.

Tribute to Romana 1, Mary Tamm, who passed away. You can see how sexy she was in these clips.

Here is season two's introduction for the TV show Wonder Woman. Lynda Carter looks strong like wonder woman but also wholesome, kind and feminine at the same time.

Here is the group Abba singing "Take A Chance On Me" from 1977. You don't find female pop stars today who look wholesome, feminine and genuine like these two women do.

Super post. These are great images and clips, Winston. Totally agree about Jamie Sommers' tennis ball expression - it really is wonderful.
In terms of what happened, to be honest, I don't think it's any real secret:
1. The explosion of the pornography industry (this practically did not exist in the 1970s compared with today);
2. The increasing velocity of money, which is eviscerating the middle class and forcing women to go out to work and abandon their families and communities;
3. Declining levels of religiosity, spirituality and non-materialist philosophies.
However, in the spirit of your movement, I think it's important to note that attractive, feminine and famous women still exist in large parts of the world. Some examples follow:

P.S. Is the YouTube plugin not working, or am I doing something wrong?

Hey there man,
Many thanks for the tip. I've changed the URLs, but the result still seems to be the same...

Yes you're right. It looks like something has changed. Ask Winston what's going on. Also, it seems that you can't write a fully editable post without having to quote someone.

I've noticed it too. Comparing tv series from that era, women don't have that 'bad ass' look or the scowing faces or bitchy behavior like they do today.
RE Misko
The factors you've mentioned are valid, but are not the only factors, there's probably more beyond what you're identified.
RE #3
The notes brought up so far about materialism & not having anything to worship. This idea that the amount of money someone makes=more happiness. This crazy idea that what someone has=they're a great person to get on with, they'll be your best friend and stick with you thick and thin. That's the illusion that people buy into. When people are focused on have-nots rather than being grateful to what they have, they will be unhappy. This is something Winston's original articles talk about. We can definitely say that this is the case with young adults compared to our parents and grandparents generation. This might be one (of many) factors explaining the permascowl of modern western women.
I think another factor could be that people are now too afraid to criticize or even give feedback to people, because they are; gay, muslim, or women (shielded from criticism). When people know they can't be criticised, certain individuals will use that as a license to be horrid. Others will see their behaviour as a role model.

There is something to what you say, but online it is a total free-for-all in large parts of the Internet. You don't have to look more than a click or two away if you want to see criticism of an out-group. Personally I'd point the finger at the general lack of trust and connection within society, which increases the default level of fear, which in turn makes people automatically hostile to each other. The sociologist Robert D. Putnam wrote a great book on this topic called
Bowling Alone (2000):

Contemporary and super-feminine does exist as a combination: you just might have to go elsewhere to find it.
1.Germany
2. Turkey
3. Holland
4. Syria
5. Czech Republic

@Misko_Varesanovic
The reason your videos didn't embed before is because you didn't remove the "&t=1" part at the end, which starts the video after a number of seconds set by the variable "t". The "http" or "https" no longer matters. But it looks like you successfully embedded them later on in your last post, so I removed the previous ones.

You're absolutely right. Removing the time string in the URL solves the issue. Many thanks, man!
