Wow Tom Selleck (Magnum PI) was so down-to-earth and genuine

Remember that hit TV series "Magnum PI" in the 80's? How come the main character played by Tom Selleck, was so down-to-earth and natural? It seems that TV stars in the 80's acted a lot more natural and down-to-earth than today, where they now act unnatural, artificial, unfeeling, soulless and assholish. Why is that? How come it's so different today?

See what I mean below. Here is the intro to Magnum PI.

Here are some episodes of Magnum PI you can watch on YouTube.

Good show, good character.

I liked the fact that he WASN'T Tony Stark, or Bruce Wayne. That he lived well, but as a tenant/employee. Made the character easier to identify with. It wasn't a lifestyle I planned on pursuing (back then anyway ), but it still made him more of an Everyman.

BTW I met Selleck once. Great guy. Down to earth in person, as on TV.

Remarkably handsome and radiant in person.

Unlike some other male actors I've met (Keanu Reeves, Chuck Norris) who are good people, but not that noticeable in a room.

Yeah Jester,
And wasn't he so down-to-earth too? He also acted laid back, easy-going, nice, genuine and never an asshole. How come male TV stars in the 80's didn't have to act like an asshole like today? They seemed so normal, not f***ed up or toxic like today. Notice that?

Watch the trailer above. It will bring back good memories of good TV.

PS - Where and how were you able to meet Selleck?

Yeah I remember that show. It was called "The Greatest American Hero". It was funny. But when I watch it now, it looks so corny. How come the red superhero suit has that Chinese character for "middle" on it? lol. Odd. I always wondered about that. I love the theme song of that show too. I used it in one of my Russia dating slideshows. lol

Did you know that when the pilot of that show first aired, Reagan was shot by a guy named Hinkley. The protagonist of the show was also named Hinkley, so they had to change his characters name so it wouldn't remind you of the attempted assassin.

Here is a fun movie I found starring Tom Selleck and the beautiful Morgan Fairchild. It's called "Concrete Cowboy". When you watch this, you will remember that movies used to be a lot more fun and a good time.

Magnum was a natural and down to earth Anglo. You can no longer have that because Anglos are marked for extermination by the ZOG.

Even though Magnum was among the elite of the elite, US Naval Academy maybe the first Navy SEAL in popular culture he was a burnout and was forged in a losing effort in the Vietnam War. He was from the "loser" class, those who did not get a deferment from the Vietnam War and actually fought on the ground. In a sense he was a better functioning John Rambo.

Remember when Clint Eastwood did his Grenada war film Heartbreak Ridge and how the military where described as losers " we are 0, 1 and 1", including his Medal Of Honor recipient Gunnery Sergeant lead character? Thomas Magnum was in the same class with a country getting over losing and getting over being proud of ending it as losers when we refused to honor our treaties and would not even send medicine when South Vietnam failed. The failure was a constant theme from Sergeant Major Higgins being a veteran of the good war yet still serving and telling the stories of his nation's colonies were stripped away and thus their loss.

Have you ever seen where he got his start ? he played a character called Lance on the Rockford Files and would be perfect for todays type audience in America because he was like a complete air head idiot.
