What does acid jazz mean?
It is a combination of funk, soul and hip-hop along with some jazz and disco. It has its origins in the 60s or 80s, I've read it originated from both these eras but I don't know which is true.

Yes Winston, I do like Air. All I Need is one of their best tracks. I don't know if they would fall into the category of Acid Jazz though.

Check out these Japanese Bossa Nova albums. Most of the singers in them are sweet feminine Japanese female singers. Don't they have the sweetest and cutest voice? lol. Have you heard this music in music bars and music lounges in Japan before? Are they still popular there? It's very soothing and relaxing. Like you are chilling.

Also @Yohan check out these Japanese Enka songs playlists. I think some of the singers are Taiwanese though for some reason. I guess Japanese and Taiwanese old generation music overlaps. lol. They sound very soulful and emotional, unlike the modern music of today. This kind of music was popular among the older generation in Japan and Taiwan. Btw isn't the woman on the graphic below the most perfect looking Japanese face you've ever seen? Who is she? Is she a celebrity?

Found this group Morcheeba, an English group which originates from London in the 90s if I'm not mistaken. Some of their songs are pretty trippy and seem to have good vibes. Give them a listen.
