Question about men, women, and money

I was wondering about something. Why is it that when men become rich, they still like and need women and are still sociable, whereas when women become rich, they start not to need men anymore, and also become more snobby and antisocial?

Maybe (this is just my opinion), perhaps men are more sociable, and when they become rich, they like to be generous and also enjoy the company of charming, beautiful women. And perhaps when women become rich, they are no longer in need of a man to just use him for money, and perhaps do not trust anyone?

If I were to become a millionare/billionare tommorow, I would have a hard time trusting men that I did not know beforehand-for dating or relationships. Women are not natural providers like men, so we would probably have a hard time knowing if a man likes us for ourselves, or for our money. Perhaps women are more likely than men to experience this problem.

But why can't the women like men for reasons other than money, like romance, companionship, etc.? Why do richer women lose the need for love and companionship?

Well, maybe the rich women who are really sex-crazy for younger men just have to keep it hidden (I'm assuming most women are middle-aged when they get rich, if it came from their own work--Paris Hiltons are a different subject altogether). A rich older woman could probably bribe some young guy who looks like Ricky Martin to jackhammer her G-spot, but her peers will start giggling if she showed up a cocktail party with him. Because of society's stereotypes, no one would look twice if a plain-looking business man walked around with a hot blonde half his age but an older woman with a younger man draws stares.

So rich women must hide their "boy toys" to maintain respect in public (celebrities are exceptions since most celebrities ARE celebrities partially because they already look much younger than their age, they do things intentionally to draw attention to themselves, or they are just mentally unstable and unpredictable by nature).

Well, there's Demi Moore (age 45) and Ashton Kutcher (age 30)...

Culturally, we're more accepting of older man with younger women coupling, than the reverse. As man become older, more mature, and better established, he also becomes desirable to women seeking such attributes. Similarly, the older man prefers a younger, healthier wife.

However, when a women becomes older and more established, she doesn't become more desirable to men in general. Consider, how many men would go for Hillary Clinton?

There are some exceptions. When men are in their teenage or younger years, some actively seek out older women who are more experienced. My first 3 girlfriends were all older than me, by 1-3 years. Not really that much older, but girls mature faster than men at that age and it was good to have someone who was more mature and knowledgeable to "show you ways of the world".

That's why I said that celebrities are the exception. Hollywood is a lot less conservative than the rest of America. If a 40 or 50 year old female CFO came to an office pary with a 20 year old guy that looked like a Calvin Klein model, her coworkers would clearly start giggling uncontrollably (I'm assuming that she attained the man by her money the same way that nasty old billionares marry models).

I'm not making judgements about any of this; I'm just pointing things out. Personally, I wouldn't date a woman that was more than say 5 years older than me, and no matter how old I get, I'll still have some fascination with teen girls (of a legal age). Although, I think in general that most men feel that they've scored quite a treat if they marry a woman who is 5 to 10 years younger than them.

I agree! Give me a college aged girl any day of the week! Women are at the peak of their physical attraction from late teens to mid twenties. That is why they are most sought after in that age group. The average age for a woman in the US to get married is age 25. For men, the average age is 27. Women are also most fertile from late teens to mid twenties. Clint Eastwood wife is 35 years younger than him! Michael Douglas's wife is 25 years younger than him. Of course there is Hugh Hefner. One of his 3 girlfriends is 59 years younger than him!! I mean that is a bit ridiculous, he is old enough to be her grandfater!

It's not cause Hollywood is not conservative. It's just that women like her are hot enough to date younger guys. lol
