Although the Queen still has dominion over these lands, every moron knows this is simply for tradition's sake..

Israeli run Al Jazeera's take on the British Empire

The British commonwealth seems to be at this stage nothing more than a pathetic attempt by the British to extend their imperial powers beyond the lifetime of their empire.

The fact we let a fag like David Norris run for president is bad enough, but when that fag is also a neo-unionist who wishes Ireland to re-join this joke (now guised as "the commonwealth of nations") seemingly for the purpose of giving a nationalistic ego-trip to the British is sickening beyond belief. I'm sure many dead republicans (from back when men were actually men) - who fought and died to ensure independence from what is the most evil scum in history - must be turning in their graves.
