I read a book on this. The bottom line of the book was that Hilter would have won if he had let his generals run the war. They had a solid plan to win. But Hitler was convinced he was a great military strategist and that his generals were incompetent. But he was trained as a corporal and way over his head. Ironically, Hitler made one correct decision in the very beginning of the war, the blitzkrieg into France. Most of the generals were against it. The fact that it turned out to be a success convinced him that he was a military genius and he never listened to his generals again. But Hitler took credit for a plan that was created by Erich von Manstein and convinced himself it was his own idea. After that, Hitler never made another good military decision.

Typical, predictable rubbish!

At the end of the day, they just had a fraction of the resources the allies had, It's actually surprising they got as far as they did.

This cannot be said so easily - at the beginning Hitler had support from Spain and Italy, had Austria and Poland under his control, and from the other side of the world there was Japan as a strong and reliable partner, controlling wide areas in Asia.

However Hitler (and the Japanese too of course) made serious mistakes -

some examples,

to attack England which was strongly supported by the United States, which later on decided to attack not only Japan, but also Germany.

to attack Russia during wintertime - what a crazy decision - more than 100.000 German soldiers and all their materials were lost...

Stalin was clever to trick out both, Hitler with his broken Poland-promise and blocking an entire German Army in Stalingrad - and cheated the Japanese with his 'friendly' non-aggression pact, which he broke after the German surrender -

Finally Italy turned out as a traitor, fighting against Germany....

Hitler had no political or military experience, he was suffering of megalomania. He was also not patient enough to wait when it was important to wait it out, to think it over instead to act - his decision were made hastily, too fast...

He never could win 'the entire world', but he could have won the war against Russia and remove Stalin from power.

--------------

Even now, if you look at a map, while Russia is a very large country, its population is surprisingly small, only about 145 million people.
Wide areas of Russia, especially in Siberia, are nothing but empty land...
