American History-Tribal Names

I just wanted to know, the idea of the names of the various tribes of Natives that they went by, called themselves.
Well according to my point of view, I think that there are over 600 tribes of Natives people known to have lived in America. Yet we do not always remember their tribal names and what they meant.
I seem to recall that Cheyenne means, "the people", in that language.
I think Abenaki means "people of the dawn", or "people of the East".
Aniyvwyiya (Cherokee) means "the principle people", or "the principled people".
What other tribal names can we discover and learn about?
