Their owners should have been held responsible for properly disposing of them. You shouldn't be allowed to just leave your junk lying around where it is going to be a nuisance to others.
What should the city do with all the blacks though, given that there is no longer any positive reason for their existence in Detroit? No matter what laws are changed, it seems they are always going to be a problem.Adama wrote:It's because Democrats and Liberals with their scheming and policies drove the good people out. Think taxes and excessive gun control combined with implementing welfare to destroy the upward mobility the blacks had gained up til that point.
Chicago is a crime ridden city because of gun control. Decent people can't carry guns legally to defend themselves. The thugs know that and prey on the people. Same with Detroit.
Also a lot has to do with drugs being illegal. Legalize drugs or some other solution is needed. Making it illegal just drives up the price and makes the wages worth killing for.
Then there is the female headed family, a result of welfare, which can not work for civilization.
But this is what the elites want. Probably in another 30 years much of the USA will be just like Detroit and Chicago on a larger scale.
That's up to each individual to do what they want with their lives. The city can offer incentives, but maybe they want them to stay.Cornfed wrote:What should the city do with all the blacks though, given that there is no longer any positive reason for their existence in Detroit? Detroit is what the rest of the country will look like in another 50 years...abcdavid01 wrote:http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/02/01 ... n-and-now/
Click the link for the charts. In 1950, Detroit was booming. Motor City had a thriving auto industry, more than 1,800,000 citizens and in less than 10 years would be the home of Motown. It was Americas fifth-largest city and appeared to herald a new social order. In the 1950s, social scientists and journalists held up the auto industry as an example of the end of class conflict in America, wrote Thomas Sugrue, professor of history and sociology at the University of Pennsylvania in an essay. They argued that auto workers, who enjoyed hefty paychecks and good benefits, had become embourgeoised that is, they had entered the ranks of the middle class. Then came race riots, competition in the auto industry from throughout the world, and people fleeing the city and urban decay. Now Detroit, with a population of just over 700,000, is in the middle of a review process that could end up in bankruptcy court within weeks. Kristopher Morrison and Richard Johnson chart the citys demise.
I've been studying colonization in Africa recently. Rhodesia, Belgian Congo, etc. I'll leave it at that.
Even black Americans probably wouldn't want to go there -- which is funny, because that's where they went and established their own country, without evil whitey or European colonialism on their backs.zacb wrote:Well, there is always Liberia!
