Washington (AFP) - Apple's Tim Cook on Thursday became the most prominent chief executive to acknowledge his homosexuality, putting fresh focus on gay representation in the boardroom.

"Let me be clear: I'm proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me," Cook said.

Cook's announcement, in an essay written for Bloomberg Businessweek, is a watershed since he is the first CEO of a major US corporation to make such a declaration.

Steve Jobs was proud of his products. Tim Cook is proud of his gayness. No wonder Apple products are in decline.

It would be entertaining a guy who says:"I'm in SEA,i'm so proud to bang chicks all around and be an heterosexual male.
Here i just f u ck everyday like a rabbit with beautiful women,i feel so proud about it."

I have my hint on what will be the reaction of the mainstream person..but well,after we can judge clearly what's more accepted and what is the reason to be proud off that are good.

When I was in NYC in a dire f.ucked-up situation two years ago, I was almost thinking that being a quasi-bogus-f a g would be the only way I'd make it in corporate NYC (well in I.T. even in NYC, one can be asexual (i.e. rendering sexual repression), and it's a culturally-acceptable muse for emulating! Earlier in my I.T. career, I used to wear my d.ick on my sleeve talking about girls and smashing in the I.T. setting, but that didn't go to well with my geek peer co-developers/programmers/DBA's etc. LOL - I was given a warning and had not brought it up in my I.T. career ever since)

When this is massive news, it speaks volumes about how f***ed up and dumb our society is.

If you'd watched 'Californication', the straight agent lied, saying that he was gay, to get the gay actor to make him his agent.

Thus, you're right. It's better to be openly 'gay' but be a closet heterosexual in America. So the excuse is that you can't find the 'right guy', while you're banging females esc*rts.
