Ian Murdock's death

Post by Cornfed »

As we might know, Ian Murdock, developer of Debian Linux, has died. It is a strange case. He appears to have committed suicide as a result of persecution from the pigs. I wonder if he was really suicided for some reason.

Murdock was born in Konstanz, West Germany on 28 April 1973. He wrote the Debian Manifesto while a student at Purdue University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in computer science in 1996. He named Debian after his then-girlfriend Debra Lynn, and himself (Deb and Ian). They subsequently married (between 1993 and 1996), filed for divorce on the week of 10 August 2007, and were granted the divorce in January 2008.
Debra Lynn will forever have her name associated with a product that she probably had diddly-squat in developing.

Wow, gutter pigs may have murdered one of the founders of the modern tech world (the good bits) and no-one is saying anything. We are f***ed.

Sketchiest death I've seen in a while. It's right up there with Michael Hastings.

Seriously people, how can this happen? How can one of the major luminaries in the only real industry the West has left be treated this way by common pigs and nothing be done about it?

I used to use Debian and now use a modded Ubuntu distro.

Hmm, I think this is a "suicide" and not a suicide... Going from his tweets archived.

May the Lord rest his soul.
