As it appears, news has just surfaced of an African-American man that was shot by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin. According to one video posted on Facebook, the man was walking around to get into his car with two police officers following him, one of them pointing a gun at the man. The officers then grabbed the man by his shirt and shot him 7 times.

I viewed the video and it appears to be a justified shooting. Last I heard, the man was still alive in the hospital which is good, but the shooting was justified.

The man was non-compliant, broke away from police, and defiantly marched around the car to the driver's side door. He then opened the door and reached inside in a manner that most officers would consider going for a weapon.

It is unclear if the officers noticed a weapon or not, but even if it was a knife or something that resembled a weapon, the shooting would be considered a lawful one.

Of course in many cases race of the police officers and the criminals are not even mentioned.

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) — Three police officers who were shot while responding to a call Sunday evening in Maryland were ambushed, authorities said.

“Within seconds of arriving, they were under fire,” Prince George's County Interim Police Chief Hector Velez told reporters at a news conference Sunday night.

Three people were shot inside a Kentucky shopping mall on Sunday in an incident that "does not appear to be random," police said.

The Lexington Police Department responded to the shooting at Fayette Mall at about 4 p.m. Sunday. Officials on Twitter said it was not an active shooter incident.

"It appears from the information that we’ve gathered thus far that persons involved knew each other, or were at least familiar with each other," Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said during a news conference.

Police said three people were shot and taken to a hospital, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported. Officials said they do not have an update on their conditions.

Officers were checking each store as the mall was being evacuated, police said.

Four men were shot early Monday morning in Sacramento, one of them dying at the scene and the rest taken to hospitals with injuries, police said.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired around 1 a.m. on Helena Avenue, just south of Del Paso Boulevard in the city’s South Hagginwood neighborhood, the Sacramento Police Department said in a news release.

Police found four adult male shooting victims, one of whom was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel, according to the news release.

The three other victims were taken to local hospitals and are all expected to survive, the Police Department said.

No arrests have been made. Homicide detectives are investigating the scene, canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and evidence, police say.

During the last hours some media were remarkably quick to publish the criminal past of this person, Blake, Jacob S.

It seems he is not this gentle innocent guy...

Investigation will find out if this shooting was justified or not. Whatever the result, I am strongly against to glorify such people as race-related victims of police brutality. Criminals of any other race - including white people of course - in USA who act against police orders are frequently fired on too and nobody cares about them.

To vandalize entire cities with lootings and arson cannot be justified. This are riots, it's about destruction and not about justice.
People who participate with such riots have to be sent to jail.

Meanwhile, details have emerged about Blake’s criminal past, including a recent arrest for sexual assault.

According to online records, Kenosha County prosecutors charged Blake with third-degree sexual assault, trespassing, and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse.

It was unclear whether that case had anything to do with the shooting.

In 2015, Blake was also charged with resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon after he pulled a gun at a local bar in Racine.

It cannot be denied that such people like this Mr. Jacob s. Blake - regardless their race - when facing police and gunfire had trouble with police in their past too. These people are frequently repeat offenders.

Just what do you have against people of black/African descent? The guy was unarmed, he had kids in the car, and coincidentally, my neighbors even are African-American, and they are some of the nicest people you could know.

It's a difference if you dislike - verbally strong - all black people (like Cornfed) but do not participate in destructive riots

or

if you blame police without checking the facts for shooting an 'innocent' black gangster and think it is justified to participate in riots of lootings and arson and to throw bricks on police officers because of that.

As a fact, Jacob S. Blake had an active felony related arrest warrant against him. He is clearly violent. He was previously also in trouble with the law, threatening people with a gun.

Not sure if he was unarmed as there is a voice coming from a policeman on a video who said 'drop the knife', however it is not disputed that he was strongly resisting arrest fighting wildly with three policemen and got a taser shot in return - a good proof in any court to show how violent he is.

His behavior during his attempted arrest was the reason finding himself in big troubles - after fighting off these policemen he was walking away to his car, followed by police officer holding their guns ready to use and he was obviously trying to take something out of this car without their permission. - Then he was shot, justified or not will be decided by an investigation or jury.
