Overhearing conversations in restaurants of zombie people?

Post by Winston »

People are a lot more programmed and zombie-like when I thought. Have any of you noticed this?

When me and my friends go out somewhere, we make observations about everything we see. But most people don't. They are oblivious to other people and to the background around them and don't look at things and observe. For example, at restaurants when I observe other people and listen to their conversations, they talk about the most mundane lighthearted stuff with their companion, whereas me and my friends are making observations about the background, decor, and other people around us. Situations like this make me feel like I'm the only aware person in an environment of zombies.

Have any of you ever felt that way?

Reminds me of the game the couple played in the movie "Date Night", where they sat in the restaurant making up back-stories for other diners.
