A lot of people in the developed world are trapped in a very vicious 'credit cycle' where they are up to their eyeballs in debt consuming way beyond their means. Getting married is another financial trap that lends itself to consumerism and debt - same with kids.

If you can escape marriage, kids and daft dreams of riding up the corporate ladder then one can find a type of job that suits their life of little to no stress and decent savings without any debt. We all have to work and make money somehow so it is finding that medium of earning money without ruining your life - but if you manage to avoid marriage and children then you are on the right road to making it happen and if it is too late - then it will always be too late for this lifetime.
