What if Ideologies are real metaphysical beings?

Post by Pixel--Dude »

What if different ideologies are actually real metaphysical beings. Things like religious ideologies and political ideologies etc are all metaphysical entities fighting for control. We think we are the stars of the show, but in reality we are just playing pieces in the game these metaphysical beings are playing. It's a numbers game. These metaphysical beings could be what reality is all about and it would be hilarious if we're here thinking everything is about us when in reality we're the equivalent of background characters in a movie. Ever thought about it? Could it be true? Lol

According to one occult theory, all ideologies are indeed real metaphysical entities. Every ideology is sustained by its own unique egregore, a kind of collective mental form which is created by the thoughts of its believers and which in turn reinforces those same thoughts. Eventually some egregores become so strong that they take on a life of their own and become autonomous entities. Absolutely everything which results from or is related to human thought has its own egregore whether it be a religious belief system, a political doctrine, an intellectual current or a subculture. Even nations and cities have egregores. Egregores influence and shape the attitudes and behaviors of their followers. People can join a sect, a political party or a subculture, become possessed by its energy and thoughtforms, and then change radically as though they've become a completely different person. Egregores are also in my opinion the reason why absurd and baseless beliefs can feel so real to those who believe in them. Believers are literally connected to and in contact with powerful thoughtforms on the level of the mental plane and so such beliefs appear to them as tangible and substantial as material reality. Powerful occultists can even create egregores deliberately. They can program them to behave a certain way and serve a specific purpose.

The religions of the world and all of their variations and offshoots are all informed by their own respective egregores. In most cases these egregores are so powerful that they are already completely autonomous having been nourished greatly by constant prayer, preaching, worship and rituals. The distinct egregores compete for followers who can continue to feed them. These same egregores of a religious nature are often the basis of many of the paranormal phenomena associated with sects and religious traditions. For example, the egregore's energy can manifest itself in the world with such a degree of density that it appears material and bring about such phenomena as the "virgin apparitions" which are witnessed in Catholic countries by significant numbers of people. The same egregoric energy can also give rise to what religious people call "miracles" and also nudge material reality in a desired direction in what comes to be an "answered prayer". Religious egregores and their thoughtforms can also possess believers and thereby bolster religious fanaticism.

The political ideologies of the world work almost exactly the same as the religions on an energetic level. Certain doctrines and political viewpoints are fed by fanatical zeal and become powerful thoughtforms. These then influence and even possess partisans and lock them into very fixed worldviews. In extreme cases people lose all ability to see outside of these limiting ideas. Marxism was able to get as popular as it did due to its powerful egregore sustained by a religious-like fanaticism. The Western "democratic" political ideology is exactly the same. These are all egregores with thoughtforms powerful enough to possess entire nations.

Subcultures are undergirded by their own egregores too. Whenever somebody becomes a hip hop fan, a metalhead, a goth or a punk, just to name a few examples, they connected with the subculture's egregore and then begin to subconsciously take on its values, aesthetic style, attitudes and behaviors. That's why many people who belong to a given subculture all act the same and think the same and have all of the same aesthetic preferences. They become slaves to the egregore's energy and thoughtforms.

Nations and cities are also egregorically informed. They all have their own energetic qualities, their own unique vibe and their own values and attitudes. You go to one country and most people behave a certain way and have the same common attitudes. Then you go to another country and the vibe is completely different and the people behave in a very different way and have very different common attitudes. Some people vibe better with one national/cultural egregore than another due to a greater level of energetic compatibility between the egregore and their individual soul. Others find themselves totally incompatible with some national/cultural egregores and simply don't fit in on an energetic level. We all must find countries and cities with egregores that fit well with our own unique energetic soul constitution.

The esoteric author Mark Stavish wrote a good book on egregores. He explains their occult origin, how they are created, how they are used in sects and political movements and how they inform virtually all of the social trends of the modern world. He also explains how in the ancient world cults devoted to a local deity were used to maintain and reinforce the city's own egregore and thereby promote its survival or its expansion.

Thank you dude for such a detailed response. I've spoken with you briefly about thoughtforms and egregores in person, I've never fully understood the concept of them, but lately I've developed a better understanding of what they are all about.

So what you are saying is that rather than humanity acting as meat marionettes for these metaphysical beings or a kind of food source, you are saying the relationship is symbiotic? Humanity gives rise to a particular thought form or egregore and then that egregore grows and becomes more powerful the more it is accepted and nourished by humanity on earth? That's really interesting.

The book you recommended, what kind of points does the author make with regard to the topic? Does he say whether or not egregores can be destroyed? Are they automatically destroyed when the last person stops believing in them?

Do you think Egregores have self awareness and are aware of themselves and other egregores? Would this mean most of the battle between good and evil is between these competing egregores using humanity and earth as their battleground?

Human beings with our ability of thought are higher in the ontological hierarchy than egregores and thoughtforms. It is our thoughts and mental energy that create and sustain them and without us they could not exist.

It is only when an egregore that was created by a group of human beings grows exceptionally powerful due to intense nourishment that it becomes a master of men and comes to possess its followers with its own ideas and thoughtforms.

The relationship between man and egregore is indeed symbiotic. Human beings create and sustain particular egregores with their collective thoughts and mental devotion and those egregores in turn influence and shape the attitudes and behavior of the human beings who follow them.

I don't remember what this particular author has to say concerning the destruction of egregores. But they do indeed become weaker and eventually dissipate if they stop being fed and lose their source of nourishment. This happens with religious sects and political ideologies. Many of these go through peaks of popularity in which many people in a society give their fervent devotion to the particular egregore through prayer, preaching, public rallies and displays of fanaticism and in light of this there is just something in the air that stirs up a large part of the population, possesses their minds and incites them to action. But as soon as the religious sect or political ideology suffers a serious blow (failed prophecy, exposure of falsehood, failed coup attempt, etc.) and loses public support, that same something in the airs begins to wane and less people are as easily possessed by the ideas of the egregore. In some cases the egregore might even die completely.

I'm not sure whether egregores have self-awareness once they become autonomous.

No, the battle between good and evil is fought between souls of light on one side and souls of darkness and their perverse New World Order on the other and egregores and thoughtforms are simply tools which are used in the battle. Some egregores manifest good in the world and this can be discerned by their fruits. Other egregores are created by evil beings in order to subvert the natural order and manifest evil in the world.

As an unrelated aside, some people suspect that ghostly apparitions and poltergeist phenomena could work like egregores and thoughtforms. For example, when somebody departs this world in horrific circumstances such as a brutal murder or a tragic suicide, the negative emotional energy left behind by the departed himself and felt by his/her relatives and loved ones may sometimes be strong enough to create a localized thoughtform which manifests in the place of the tragedy and is witnessed by the people who live there. The thoughtform will haunt the location as long as it keeps on receiving attention and mental energy. As soon as its source of nourishment stops it will soon disappear.

Maybe rituals of banishment work by dissolving the ghostly thoughtform's energy through a more powerful kind of energy and thereby depriving it of the power needed to manifest itself in the material world.

Some interesting information here on thoughtforms my dude. I'll have a look into the author you recommended and consider buying his book. I'll also see if I can find more information online and post my findings here. How far back does the idea of egregores go? It's a fairly new concept to me that I'm only just starting to grasp. I've never seen anything to do with them in any psychedelic experiences.

This is an interesting perspective on ghostly phenomenon. I've had a theory for a while about ghosts being energetic parasites which feed from emotional responses given by witnesses. They could feed from both positive emotions like happiness, or negative emotions like sadness or anger or fear. I also had a theory that if they became powerful enough they can then interact with the physical world, like pick stuff up and throw stuff around like people claim happens with poltergeist phenomenon. I never conflated the two things and came to the conclusion that ghosts and localised egregores could be the same thing. If this is the case the egregore would only be energy, wouldn't it? Could this be why people can hear things over static and stiff like that?
