Hi all,
I've just installed an iPhone app on this forum called TouchBB. If any of you are on an iPhone, you can try it at this link:

touchbb.php

If you are browsing from an iPhone it should redirect you to that link. If not, just go to the link above. Let me know how it works.

Thanks,
Winston

* Update:

I've now installed an Android app too. You will find the link to it in the header above as well. If you get redirected to it while you are on a PC, click "Options" and then select "Switch to Desktop" to return back to the desktop version. If you continue getting redirected to it, please PM me your User Agent String so I can have the developer fix it. You can find your User Agent String by going to this link:

Eurobrat has gotten it to work! Here are his instructions for doing it:

"Hey Winston,

The install went well. There are two versions of touch BB on the appstore, a free version and a .99 cent paid one. The free one has less features but is still easier to use than mobile Safari.

For people to set it up here is the instructions:

1) Download Touch BB or Touch BB lite from the App store.
2) Open touch BB and click account.
3) Click the "+" button in the top right hand corner.
4) For forum address enter "happierabroad.com/forum" then enter your username and password.

After that your done and directly connected to happierabroad forum and your ready to post and view."

Have any of you been using the mobile version of this forum from your smart phone? If so, how has it been? Is it easy to use and navigate?

Are you able to submit posts on it?

Also, when you come here on a smart phone, do you get redirected automatically to the mobile version? Or do you have to select it somehow?

eurobrat wrote:I use it on my iPad tablet, yes it works well there is no avatar though. It doesn't work on Android Phones and I'm tossing my android for an iPhone soon.

It's responsive, it's clean and easy to read the forum and get information. I'm using it now the software is fine for now.
Why doesn't it work on an Android? What happens when you click on Mobile Version from an Android? Does it work on an iPhone?

Does the iPad tablet redirect to the mobile version automatically?

Are you able to post messages from the mobile version?

Well I guess the mobile version of this forum only works on an IPhone. It even says so here: http://www.touchbb.com

Does anyone know how to find a program that will make it work on an Android? I'll check around.

I think it would be called Android WebKit. Here's the webpage to find out the info. I hope it helps since not everyone has a iPhone. http://developer.android.com/reference/ ... mmary.html

Eurobrat,
When you are on the iPhone app, are you able to see all the topics, or only the latest ones? What about topic categories? Are you able to view them?

When it shows the active topics, how many does it show on one page? Why is there no scroll button to see the next page of topics? If you go to a board with hundreds of topics, how do you scroll through them?

Thanks.
