Hi all,
I've finally gotten the "Follow by Email" and "Subscribe" widgets in our HA Blog to work. I guess Blogger fixed the bugs in its template. So please follow our Blog by entering your email in the "Follow by Email" box in the right sidebar of the Blog to receive updates by email on new content in the blog. Also click on the "Subscribe" link in the right sidebar to get feeds from the blog to your Yahoo Homepage, or whatever else is there. Here is the URL to our Blog, which is now a growing collaborative work by several authors.

http://blog.happierabroad.com

We need as many of you to "follow" the blog as possible, to help get our blog higher in the search engine rankings. I suspect that the more followers a blog has, the higher Google will rank it.

Thanks for all your help,
Winston

Hi all,
I just added another widget to the HA blog that shows the Followers. It has a "Join This Site" button, that if you click, raises the number of followers that Google cites. Please click on it and add yourself there so we can get more followers. I think with more followers our search engine ranking will be raised in Google so that we can compete with other high traffic blogs. You will find it in the right sidebar.

Thanks,
Winston

I fixed up and re-organized our blog. They layout looks better now and I put a header graphic at the top. The home page of the blog now features snippets from the latest 12 posts. What do you think of it?

http://blog.happierabroad.com/

I also put a better blog description at the top:

"Escape the Toxicity and Cold Isolation of America for a Better, Freer, Wilder, Healthier and Saner Life Overseas. Discover Foreign Women, Global Dating, Social Connection, Authentic People, Freedom to be Yourself, Lower Cost of Living, Healthier Food and Saner Cultures Beyond America."

What do you think? Doesn't that sound great?

To the other writers in our blog:

Once I put widgets showing our latest blog posts in the forum index page and main home page, your posts will start getting more traffic. When users see the latest blog posts featured on the home page and in the forum automatically, there will be more visitors and clicks for sure. So your articles will start getting more hits.

Shouldn't it be Western countries rather than just America? Cause men are just as miserable living in UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many parts of Western Europe.

Because you can't paint all western countries with a broad brush. Some guys are happier abroad in the UK, France, or Spain. Plus I haven't been to them all so I can't vouch that they are all the same. So I don't want to jump the gun and assume that.

Ok I was able to generate a code to display the latest blog posts on any webpage. I generated it using this online tool:

http://feed2js.org/index.php?s=build

Here is the code. It shows the latest 5 blog posts, but can be modified to show any number of posts by changing the "num=5" variable.

Code: Select all

<script language="JavaScript" src="http://feed2js.org//feed2js.php?src=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.happierabroad.com%2Ffeeds%2Fposts%2Fdefault&num=5&utf=y" charset="UTF-8" type="text/javascript"></script>

<noscript>
<a href="http://feed2js.org//feed2js.php?src=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.happierabroad.com%2Ffeeds%2Fposts%2Fdefault&num=5&utf=y&html=y">View RSS feed</a>
</noscript>
If you have a blog too, you can use this script to display posts from it on any page. It's a good idea to display posts from your blog on your home page or forum, to get the most clicks on them.

I will look for somewhere on the home page and forum to put it.

But aren't you doing that with America as well? Not all parts of America are the same and can't be painted with a broad brush either. Why don't you interview posters who are directly from these other Western countries to get more details about their women/social issues? From what I have read there are many posters claiming their home Western countries are just as messed up as America but maybe in different ways.

I'm not defending the American social and cultural scene, but it's not just American Western culture that's a problem, it's the combined Western culture war against men in different aspects that's the problem. Each Western country is being targeted in different ways to maximize cultural disintegration and in the process marginalize the set male/female sexes with ambiguity, thus complete control in the end.

You can paint all Anglosphere countries with a broad brush.

Yeah but my opinion on America is more qualified. I've been to a lot of places in America and know the country and its people very well. Many here have too.

In every group/culture, there are group differences and individual differences. For example, if you took a group of 10 cats and another group of 10 dogs, you'd find both group differences and individual differences. All the cats would share some traits, and all the dogs would share some traits too. But each member in the group would have some individual differences too.

What I've done is identified the group traits in America that are spread out, such as the cliquishness, bad attitude of women, their cold vibe toward strangers, etc.

But since I haven't been to other western countries, I am not qualified to comment on them. Not all guys say they suck either. Some say that women are friendlier in other western countries. Plus some guys aren't credible too. So I'm not ready to paint them with the same broad brush yet. Hope that makes sense.

Plus, if you go to England, you will find that no one there believes that Americans and English are the same and should be lumped in the same category. (except for maybe David Icke lol) BellaRuth elaborated on this before, remember?

In terms of the common HA-related problems such as females being hateful sluts, hostile social and working conditions, pervasive misandry and political correctness, infestation of dysgenics etc. all Anglosphere are much the same. Of course there are many differences, but they are largely irrelevant for HA purposes.

Maybe. But some guys say English girls are more down-to-earth and not as mean and hostile. You can talk to them about nerdy subjects like Doctor Who and they don't see you negatively for it.

Ask any English woman if American women and English women are the same. They will tell you no way.

No one wants to be lumped in the same category as American women.

Anyway, so what do you think of the new blog layout and header graphic?

Ok I've placed the latest blog posts script at the top of the forum index page. It displays the latest 7 posts in the blog. It looks kind of tacky and out of place. But it'll have to do for now until we upgrade to phpbb3. I'll also put it on the latest 100 topics page and the home page too.

Scratch that. It looked way too crappy up there. So I took it down and just put a link at the top to "Latest Blog posts" instead.

On the latest 100 topics page, I put a script showing the latest 10 blog posts on the right. Check it out.

On the home page in the right sidebar, I put a box displaying the latest blog posts and another one showing the latest forum topics. Check it out. Now all our main sections are interlinked!
