Manding script (You've heard the term Mandingo?) goes back to before 3000 BC. It is said to predate cuneiform.
Manding secret societies continue to use this script to this day.
Meroetic script from South Sudan is even older. One is pictographic and the other a phonetic writing system. Numerous pictographic writing systems have been found in pottery and in stone all over "sub-saharan" Africa.
Numerous examples of ancient stone masonry and metalwork going back 4000 or more years are also found all over "sub-saharan" Africa.
Do your own research. Don't just believe what you are told.
