That's bad advice. It's a way to bring diseases home to your wife and to have kids that either get murdered by a doctor with their mother's consent, or else raised without you knowing about it. Using prostitutes is unethical.

As with most advice, there's one thing to remember : It's not just the advice that matters. It's how you apply it. Some people go too far. For example, not showing weakness is a good tendency to have in general. You can't be spilling your emotions all over the place like a girl. Everyone knows they're there, there's no need for a man to be showing them always. But by the same token, there are times when it's best to show them, even if it means going to a woman to do it. The same with aggression and competition. It's good to be rough with each other but sometimes you need to lay off and give someone a break and tone it down.

According to who? Just you? History disagrees.

No it doesn't. There were lots of poor bastard kids raised without their fathers throughout history. You can also read about Syphilis when you study history.

Historically it turns out that prostitution is a necessary part of the alternative to slutification, and slutification is worse than prostitution in causing the pathologies you mention and a thousand others. This is why all successful societies had prostitution. There is a down side to everything, but prostitution is the least worst option.

It's hard to totally do away with prostitution unless a society is uber-totalitarian. But there have been successful societies that outlawed prostitution. The US used to have a successful society and in plenty of places, prostitution was outlawed.
