Men that dumb deserve what they get. I've never bought a drink for a girl I planned to f**k that I want dating, that's just dumb.

Doesn't make her not a whore, but w/e.

I used to be the bartender (many years in many bars and nightclubs) so I saw this going on EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! If a girl flat-out asks you for a drink you should 100% say NO THANKS or simply act like you didn't hear her and walk away. She will likely bad mouth you to your face or back, but just laugh and move on. If a girl REALLY likes you, she won't ask you to buy her a drink...she'll buy YOU one. She might even buy you a drink on some other dudes tab...lol. No, not kidding...saw this all the time. I'm talking about the USA...things don't seem to work the same abroad.

I will buy a female one drink (and one drink only, after I converse with her for a while) if I think she's attractive AND has a great personality. As those two traits are almost mutually exclusive among single women in the U.S. and Canada, it's not too often that I will do this. Over the past 10-15 years, I've bought MAYBE three or four drinks for girls and have outright refused hundreds of times. And if I buy a girl one drink and she has the gall to ask for a second, I roll my eyes and keep it moving.

Now, I am not gay, but I've bought more drinks for guys than for girls. And I do this without them asking me. Guys with interesting stories to tell, guys who are downright hilarious, and guys who have a lot of life experience who are able to provide great insights and advice. If Winston decides to meet me in Mexico City next month, he will be well taken care of when it comes to drinks. I may even throw a meal in there to show my appreciation for him being a pioneer of the "Happier Abroad" movement as well as a great inspiration. There are a few other webmasters, bloggers, and forum posters for whom I would buy a few rounds if we ever met up. All of them also happen to be men.

The sense of entitlement is over-the-top in many of them.

That moment you first realize the cash being spent on you came from some other guy... :o
I'd snark about them buying me a drink or dinner, but I'm in the age group where they use that tactic as bait.
Next thing you know, she's trying to move in or you're staring down the band of a mangagement ring. :D

No ill will to that blogger, just letting guys know to avoid getting rinsed.
