Just all smoke and mirrors due to all the money printing going on by Western central banks.
Go abroad and you'll see that your $, £ or € don't go far. 45 Thai baht to the pound (it used to be 70) means that there's a whole lot of pain for many Brits who retired here.
I'm also finding it expensive. Accommodation is cheap, but most other stuff is actually cheaper back home.
Stuff that's stupidly expensive here ranges from medicine/health supplements to stuff for cleaning your toilet with.
At some point, long Western currencies, short emerging market currencies will be the trade of the decade.

Hahahahahaha, there will be no recovery.
People who think that the good ole days are coming back live in lala land.
The Federal Reserve continues to print this trash called the U.S. Dollar which increases our debt with every dollar that's printed.
There will not be a good ending to our economic crisis....

The thing that gets me is these idiots who still cannot figure out this is just a counterfeiting scheme to capture all wealth the world has to offer.

I agree that it's a counterfeiting scheme. It forces people to use fiat currency and it steals their wealth. I've known that for years. All it does is inflate prices, give a few people and corporations power, and allow for everything to be financed by debt. War were once paid for using gold and silver, homes and land were paid in full, and prices were based on real incomes. With unlimited fiat, easy credit, and expectations that people will go into debt it creates a fake economy and an illusion of prosperity.
People can't survive on minimum wage. At least 30 million Americans work for minimum wage or close to minimum wage. No one would work for a wage they can't survive on if they had the freedom of choice. The system is designed to force people to be in the system and no one has the option of an alternative.

The famous mr Schiff has a video that a currency collapse is coming in 2014 so we may not have seen anything yet. It may get to the point where people are mass migrating to other countries for better jobs and currency living conditions etc not just retirement. Whatever futue happens it seems to be headed in the new world order direction with stazi type people everywhere.
