Oil is not only a commodity its also a currency(petro dollar). When it crashes twice in one year(like it just did) it means something bad is about to happen. Prepare now while you still can.

Low oil prices are viewed as an all around benefit. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth.

While its true, no one knows when the next financial collapse will happen. What we do know is the last time(2008) oil closed below $40 for a week the US stock markets crashed, 10 million people lost their jobs and millions of homes were foreclosed on. So far, in 2015, oil has closed for one day below $40 at the end of August after which it bounced. Oil is currently hovering around $46 so I'm guessing we won't have to wait for much longer.

No, it isn't a currency. Look up the definition of petrodollar.

I know a lot of people like to believe that, I'm not one of them. The currency of the world is gold, oil and drugs. The price of all three is very low right now signaling the next shit storm. Contrary, to the "programming" you received in economics class and from the media.

Petrodollar is a word. Words have definitions. You don't get to change the definition of a word.
Which part do you not understand?

I would think a word is defined by how a bunch of native speakers use it. Is there some authority that has exclusive copyright over the English language now?

Oil Prices To Drop To Between $5 And $15 In 2016
https://www.thetrentonline.com/bad-bad- ... -2016-imf/
The new cartel controlling oil prices is not OPEC but world credit markets. There are increasing signs of late that these distress energy loans could end up defaulting and leaving banks with a mess to deal with. The total amount of loans outstanding to the energy sector is a little under $4 trillion.
